The month of February was an eventful one for us here at DEFY Sparks!
Amidst the birthday parties and glow nights, February 2nd marked the two year anniversary of our grand opening! So naturally, we threw a birthday party to celebrate heading into another year of operation - something all of us here at DEFY are thankful for, especially considering the craziness of the past year. We enjoyed an incredible day of games, cake and community and we are grateful to everyone who came out to help us celebrate!
Also, we'd like to give a huge shoutout to Delicious Designs for providing an awesome cake to help commemorate this milestone! You can check out their website HERE.
Our Anniversary was only the kickoff to a jam-packed month! We recently partnered with Forever 14 to throw a lock-in for a group of teenagers, to help combat the growing number of teenage suicides in our community. It was a powerful night full of entertainment and guest speakers, each with a poignant message. Although the night was a success, the fight against teen suicide continues. If you'd like to learn more about Forever 14, you can click HERE.
Finally, we rounded out our events for the month with our recurring Sensory Hour held in conjunction with the Special Needs CommUNITY of Northern Nevada. This is a special time held twice a month for families who have children with sensory sensitivities. These events are always among the highlights of our month. This time we were lucky enough to have Cosplay for Kindness come on down to take pictures and play with the kids. The way the kids' faces lit up when they saw Black Panther, Star Lord, and Spider-Man makes all the hard work we do completely worth it.
To wrap up, we would like to once again extend a huge thank you to the entire community for supporting us over these last two years. From the beginning, we have strived not only to be the best trampoline park in the Reno Sparks area, but to be a local business that supports and uplifts this incredible community; and we couldn't be more excited to continue this mission for years and years to come.
Thank you, and we hope to see you soon!
